| Description: |
Will develop, coordinate, supervise, and
evaluate the Wellness Program to include
training, daily operations, and evaluation.
This position provides assessment and
exercise prescription for students first
and secondarily for Student Recreation
Center members. Will recruit, hire, train,
supervise and evaluate student instructors
and program assistants; establish and
follow risk management plan for care and
safety of programs and equipment to ensure
industry compliance; plan, develop, administer,
and evaluate a comprehensive personal
training program; coordinate continuing
education and certification for fitness
instructors and personal training staff;
work with the Director in designing and
executing a public relations campaign
for wellness; collaborate with the Recreation
and Wellness team on special events and
projects; assist in the overall operation
of the department; serve as member of
the summer Navigate orientation team;
and perform other duties as assigned by
the Associate Director.

| Qualifications: |
Master's degree in Exercise Physiology,
Health Promotion, Recreation, Physical
Education, or closely related field and
some experience working with a wellness
program in a college setting required.
Must possess current fitness certification
in one of the following: ACSM (American
College of Sports Medicine), ACE (American
Council on Exercise), or AFAA (Aerobic
and Fitness Association of America). This
position requires some supervisory work
in the evenings and on weekends. Physical
ability to do essential functions with
or without accommodations, moderate strength
and mobility to assist with fitness/wellness
setups also required.
Employment is contingent upon successful
