The Department of Criminal
Justice, Social and Political Science invites
applications for a criminal justice position
at the assistant professor level to begin August
2008, pending budgetary approval.
The successful candidate must embrace leadership
in the profession; be an effective undergraduate
and graduate instructor in criminal justice,
cyber security and cyber forensics, develop
an active research agenda, provide exemplary
service to the university and community.
Normal teaching load is four courses per

| Qualifications: |
A master of science in criminal justice,
computer science, or closely related field
is required; PhD in Criminal Justice or
related field required for tenure track.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

| The Department: |
The Department of Criminal
Justice, Social and Political Science is an
interdisciplinary department with faculty members
whose expertise includes criminal justice,
law, political science and sociology. The twelve
faculty members in the department are responsible
for delivering a Bachelor of Science with major
in criminal justice, a Bachelor of Arts with
major in political science, a Master of Science
in criminal justice, and minors in criminal
justice, political science, and sociology.
In addition, a new interdisciplinary major
in Law and Society is housed in this department.

Armstrong Atlantic
State University is a four-year coeducational
senior unit in the University System of Georgia
and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students.

of the historic district of the city of Savannah
