Armstrong Atlantic
State University invites applications for a
tenure track position at the rank of assistant
professor in the Department of Early Childhood
Education. Located at the Liberty Center in
Hinesville, Georgia, the Director will assist
students with admission requirements, academic
advisement, and other academic support services.
Must also consult and coordinate with various
academic administrators from main campus representing
all departments but especially Early Childhood
and Middle/Secondary Education. Evening work
is required as well as some travel. The appointment
will begin August 2008, pending budgetary approval. |

| Qualifications: |
A doctorate in early childhood education
or a related field is preferred as well
as P-5 teaching experience. Candidates
who are ABD and close to final defense
of the dissertation may also apply. Preference
will be given to the candidate who has
expertise in instructional technology
and credentials in socio-cultural perspectives
in diversity. In addition to providing
quality instruction to students, the successful
candidate will be expected to carry a
service load within the department and
the university as well as be engaged in
scholarly activities involving teacher
candidates.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

Armstrong Atlantic
State University is a four-year coeducational
senior unit in the University System of Georgia
and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students.
It is located approximately twelve miles south
of the historic district of the city of Savannah
