Armstrong Atlantic
State University invites application for a
tenure track position at the rank of assistant
professor in the Department of Early Childhood
Education. The appointment will begin August
2008, pending budgetary approval. |

| Qualifications: |
A doctorate in early childhood education
or a related field is preferred, as well
as P-5 teaching experience. This faculty
position will require teaching on campus
and at off campus sites. Candidates who
are ABD and close to final defense of
the dissertation may also apply. Preference
will be given to the candidate who has
expertise in curriculum, methodology and
classroom management. In addition to providing
quality instruction to students, the successful
candidate will be expected to carry a
service load within the department and
the university as well as be engaged in
scholarly activities involving teacher
candidates.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

Armstrong Atlantic
State University is a four-year coeducational
senior unit in the University System of Georgia
and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students.
It is located approximately twelve miles south
of the historic district of the city of Savannah
on a modern 268 acre campus. The core mission

directions of the university are applied science
and technology, teacher education, health professions,
