The Biology Department
at Armstrong Atlantic State University in Savannah,
Georgia is seeking applications for a tenure-track
Assistant Professor position beginning in August
2008 pending budgetary approval.
Teaching duties will include courses in
introductory biology, microbiology for
majors and allied health students, advanced
microbiology courses such as applied or
environmental microbiology, and other
courses appropriate to the candidate's
area of specialization. Successful candidates
for the position must demonstrate a strong
commitment to undergraduate teaching,
develop research programs that engage
undergraduate students, and provide appropriate
service to the department and institution.

| Qualifications: |
A Ph.D. in microbiology or a related field
is required. Candidates with expertise
in environmental microbiology are especially
encouraged to apply. Previous experience
teaching microbiology courses strongly
preferred.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.
