Armstrong Atlantic
State University seeks a full-time librarian
with a demonstrated interest in Technical Services
to fill an entry-level position. Responsibilities
include original and complex copy cataloging
of books and audiovisual materials, maintaining
authority records and serial union listings,
and assisting the department head in managing
processing, acquisitions, and serials control.
The position also participates in the reference
desk rotation, including some weekend work,
and collection development responsibilities. |

| Qualifications: |
ALA accredited MLS, knowledge of OCLC, AACR2R,
LCSH, and LC classification required.
Desirable qualifications include technical
services experience in an academic library,
experience cataloging non-book materials,
and experience with Ex Libris Voyager.
Prefer knowledge of DACS and experience
providing reference assistance. Ideal
candidate must be able to multi-task,
work productively and collegially in groups
and with other departments, demonstrate
a commitment to professional development,
keep up to date on changes in cataloging
standards, and have superior oral and
written communication skills.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

Armstrong Atlantic
State University is a four-year coeducational
senior unit in the University System of Georgia
and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students.
It is located approximately twelve miles south
of the historic district of the city of Savannah
