| Description: |
Full time employee
in the Armstrong Bookstore will work under
the direction of the Textbook Manager to help
with data entry, purchasing, receiving and
displaying of textbooks and trade books for
the AASU Bookstore. Duties and responsibilities
will include entering course data information
into Sequoia Textbook Manager program from
Banner; changing shelves from one term to the
next; assisting with purchase order entries,
placing orders, and receiving; assisting in
the warehouse with unpacking of texts and moving
books to the sales floor; filing special orders
for books, pulling special order books upon
arrival, and contacting customers when their
book is ready for pick up; assisting customers
on the sales floor and running cash register
during peak times. This position reports directly
to the Textbook Manager, but works closely
with the Warehouse Keeper and other staff.
Includes other duties as assigned and appropriate.

| Qualifications: |
High School Diploma or equivalent and one
year training or on the job experience
with Data Entry. Requires attention to
detail and strong data entry skills, effective
communications skills, especially pleasant
telephone skills, applicable to working
with vendors and customers. Must have
the ability to work independently and
see an assignment through to completion.
Physical mobility to include walking,
reaching and some climbing of step ladders
to access shelving and books throughout
the store and warehouse required, as well
as the ability to lift at least 40 pounds
on an infrequent basis and 15 pounds frequently.
Unpacking of books and moving on book
dolly is essential. Ability to sit for
extended periods of time, and the ability
to read small ISBN's and reports with
or without corrective lenses. Computerized
testing (data entry) required upon application.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.
