| Description: |
The Department Head
will be responsible for providing vision and
leadership for an established program with
an excellent academic and community reputation.
The Department Head will engage in strategic
planning, maintain curriculum accreditation,
collaborate with other departments on campus,
oversee faculty development and assessment,
teach in his/her area of expertise, work closely
with the advisory committee, provide fiscal
management, and assume other duties as assigned
by the dean. |

| Qualifications: |
A baccalaureate degree from a CoARC accredited
respiratory therapy program and masters
degree in a related field are required.
A doctoral degree is preferred. Minimum
of four years work experience as RRT required.
Minimum of two years teaching experience
required. Candidates should demonstrate
an understanding of the CoARC accreditation
standards for respiratory care programs
and meet the criteria for program director.
Candidates must have demonstrated administrative
and leadership abilities. Candidates will
be required to participate in service,
research/ scholarship activities related
to consideration for promotion and tenure.
Baccalaureate teaching experience and
program director experience are preferred.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.
