| Description: |
Responsible for the overall marketing and
communication of those programs that interpret
the mission of the university to its multiple
constituencies, both internal and external,
in order to create a climate of public
and private support for the fulfillment
of that mission. Accountable for the creation
and implementation of a comprehensive
marketing/communications plan for the
university. Leads the implementation of
a comprehensive marketing/communications
plan for the university. Leads the Office
of University Relations, which provides
professional services and support to include
publications, media relations, advertising,
internal and web communications, graphic
design, special event management, photography,
video production, and community relations.

| Qualifications: |
The successful candidate must possess a
bachelor's degree in a relevant field
of study and a minimum of five (5) years
of successful management experience in
working and communication with diverse
populations (preferably at an institution
of higher education). Master's degree
preferred. Previous supervisory experience
in the area of marketing is required.
Experience in public relations, communications,
and/or journalism is a plus. Must demonstrate
thorough knowledge of principles and methods
of planning and conducting a comprehensive
strategic marketing program and the ability
to think strategically as a part of a
management team. Must possess expertise
in the use of technology to reach a broad
base of constituents. Must be able to
manage effectively in a complex environment
comprised of multiple constituencies.
