Description: Armstrong Atlantic State University seeks applications for a full-time, continuing, non-tenure track lecturer in biology, starting August 1, 2008. The appointment will be at the university's Liberty Center campus in Hinesville, Georgia. Teaching responsibilities may include introductory biology classes, non-majors biology courses, and human anatomy and physiology.
 
Qualifications:

An M.S. in biology required, Ph.D. preferred. Previous experience teaching at the college level desired.

Employment is contingent upon successful completion of a background investigation.

 
The University: Armstrong Atlantic State University is a four-year coeducational senior unit in the University System of Georgia and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students. It is located approximately twelve miles south of the historic district of the city of Savannah on a modern 268 acre campus. The core mission of the university is a strong liberal arts education for all students, and the strategic directions of the university are applied science and technology, teacher education, health professions, and community and economic development.

The university campus is 20 miles from sandy beaches, and only a mile or so from crabbing, shrimping, and saltwater fishing.
