Armstrong Atlantic
State University seeks energetic and well-qualified
applicants for three non tenure-track, full-time
lectureships devoted to enhancing Armstrong's
First Year Experience. These lecturers will
teach four English courses-largely, though
not exclusively, composition-per semester and
work with the First Year Experience Team in
advising, mentoring, and improving the academic
lives of our first-year students. |

| Qualifications: |
Successful candidates must have a master's
degree or doctorate in English, Comp./Rhet.,
or English Education by August 2008, experience
teaching first-year writing courses, and
a proven record of highly successful teaching.
Preferred qualifications include 1.) coursework
or research demonstrating an understanding
of composition theory and pedagogy and
2.) experience with student learning communities.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

Armstrong Atlantic
State University is a four-year coeducational
senior unit in the University System of Georgia
and has an enrollment of more than 6800 students.
It is located approximately twelve miles south
of the historic district of the city of Savannah
on a modern 268 acre campus. The core mission

and technology, teacher education, health professions,
