| Description: |
Full-time, temporary staff position available
in the Educational Technology Training
Center. Will be responsible for maintaining
and operating the hardware and networks
of the Educational Technology Training
Center (ETTC) at Armstrong Atlantic State
University. In addition, will provide
technical and network support of the surrounding
school systems that the ETTC supports.
Position may require some evening and
weekend work, lifting a minimum of 20
lbs., and travel, as needed. Funding for
this position is guaranteed through June
30, 2008. Extended employment is subject
to continuation of state funding.

| Qualifications: |
The successful candidate must possess a
Bachelor's Degree in related field and
experience with information system implementation,
in either an education or business setting.
Knowledge of Windows XP and 2003 operating
systems and applications software packages,
networking, systems integration and hardware.
Knowledge of Microsoft DOS/Windows (3.x,
9x, NT, 2000, XP), Novell Systems, Linux,
Unix or Apple networking and associated
hardware a plus. Experience with Network
Devices, switches, routers, and firewalls.
Demonstrated ability to grasp new concepts,
develop and teach courses related to technical
applications, and integration in the K-12
environment. Ability to develop and maintain
professional working relationship with
educators and support personnel. Demonstrated
excellence in management and organizational
skills. Qualified applicants must be A+
and Network+ (CompTIA) certified or hold
a higher level certification, such as
Microsoft MCP/MCSE or Novell CNA/CNE.
Wireless certification CWNA or CWSP a
plus. Technical Teaching or training experience
necessary. Experience working with school
systems and/or vendors a plus. Must pass
criminal background check.
Employment is contingent upon successful
completion of a background investigation.

| Salary: |
Salary range $48,500
- $53,500 commensurate with education and experience,
plus excellent benefits package. |
