If you wish, you may have your paycheck deposited directly to your bank account. Your paycheck can be split between accounts, i.e., having a certain amount sent to a savings account and the balance sent to a checking account. This is an optional service, and you can opt to receive a check instead.

In order to prepare the direct deposit form, you will need to provide the following information:

  • Your Social Security number
  • Exact name on your bank account
  • Account number
  • Name of your bank
  • Voided check to attach to the form

The banking industry requires a pre-notification process that takes approximately three weeks to complete. As a result of this process, your direct deposit may not be effective until the second payday after your form is received in Payroll. Thus you may receive a check until the direct deposit process has been completed.

When your direct deposit process has been completed, you will receive a payroll advisement (check stub) notifying you of the details of your payment. You may receive your advisement in one of two ways:

If you are paid bi-weekly, you will receive a paycheck every other Friday.

If you are paid monthly, you will receive your check on the last working day of the month.
