Welcome to Armstrong Atlantic State University
Part Time Casual Employees

You are about to begin the online orientation for part time casual employees. Part-Time Casual employees are hired on an as-needed basis with no guarantee of continued employment.

It is very important to read each page carefully, and print out all of the required pages and documents in order to make this transition a smoother one for all parties. Please complete all the necessary forms that will be shown in the orientation. During this orientation, you will be required to complete a series of documents, the first being the "Right To Know" training. At the end of the Right to Know session, you will need to complete and print out the online certificate for your packet. This form MUST be turned in with your other forms to Human Resources. It is the policy of AASU that all faculty, staff and students have the opportunity to study and work in an atmosphere and environment free from any form of harassment or retaliation. A copy of AASU's Harassment Policy will be made available to you during this orientation. Please read this policy carefully. You will be asked to print an acknowledgment of receipt of the harassment policy. This form MUST be included with your other employment paperwork.

You will then need to print out all of the forms needed to be set up on AASU's payroll system. You will be completing the I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification form**, a Board of Regent's Security Questionnaire and Loyalty Oath, and W-4 (federal tax) and G-4 (state tax) withholding forms. Please complete these forms completely and neatly or the Human Resources office will not accept them! You will need to bring 2 forms of ID (originals - not copies) to verify your identity and your eligibility to work in the United States. A list of acceptable forms of ID are listed on the I-9 form you will receive. Also, all part time state employees are required to fill out a Georgia Defined Contribution Plan application, and that will be required in order to be processed as an employee.

An AASU ID can be issued at the Student Activities Office. This will act as your library card, grant you access to the Fitness Center and some activities on campus free to students, faculty, and staff. A parking decal can be issued from the Public Safety Office.

**Again, when you bring your completed paperwork to Human Resources, you are required to produce TWO forms of acceptable identification. There is a page in this orientation titled "Lists of Acceptable Documents." You must have the ORIGINAL forms of identification in order to be processed. If you do not have the original forms of identification, Human Resources cannot accept your orientation packet.

After you have completed your orientation packet, bring it to Human Resources. If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact us.

As a Full time employee of Armstrong Atlantic State University, you are considered an important part of the workforce.
If you need any assistance or have any questions, please feel free to contact Human Resources.
Welcome to the AASU family!
